The company offers electronic electronics-related devices and equipment to be used in computers and LCD TVs, display manufacturing equipment, electronic component mounting machines, electronic parts testing and inspection equipment, etc; precision devices for laboratory measuring instruments and hospital medical equipment; industrial equipment for use in robots, construction machines, printing machines and textile machines; machine tools to be used in lathes, machining centers, multi-axis machining centers, grinding machines and electric discharge machines; and transportation equipment, such as automobiles, motorcycles, railcars and aircraft. It also provides linear motion rolling guides/linear motion rolling guide series; needle roller bearings, and linear motion rolling guides/mechatronics series. The company was formerly known as Daiichi-Kogyo Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Nippon Thompson Co., Ltd. in 1963. The company was incorporated in 1950 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
